End of School News...

School is over and the results are in...

Jordan made straight A's for the quarter. He had all A's and one B (an 89) for the year. He also came away with an Art Award. Imagine that!

Kayla's grades will be mailed, but we think she probably has A's and B's. She received an award in band and one in Social Studies.

We are pretty proud!

5th grade and 7th grade ready or not, here we come!!!

Jordan's painting...

For Easter, in his Easter sack (I didn't bother with baskets this year), Jordan got a paint by numbers kit. It was great because after church today it rained. So he spent the whole afternoon painting. I wasn't sure how he would do, but as it turns out he did a great job! (Great cheap gift idea for future reference...)

Jordan's masterpiece.

Flute update...

Kayla made first chair again last Friday! Way to go Kay!

Lions, Tigers and "ZEBEARS?!"

Jordan has a couple of drawings he wanted to share with you. The first one is his bear. I thought he did a good job on it.

The second one is of a Zebear. A Zebear is his fictitious animal he had to create for school. I thought you might like to read his essay on what exactly a zebear is, so I'm posting it too. He was proud of the project because he got a perfect score.

by Jordan
Although I like writing about real animals, making your own is really cool. My animal is a zebear. My animal lives in the forest and in the forest it is warm. My animal defends itself by blending in with the trees. Also it kicks. If he wants food he stomps on his food like mice or rats. Sometimes he'll swim to catch fish with his sharp teeth. He drinks water also. He can run fast because of his long legs. He communicates by snarling and growling. that's what my
animal is.

Kayla found out the results of her flute test today. Drum roll please! She made...

Way to go! She feels as high as a kite, well until the next test in a couple of weeks.
